Makita DC18RC T Charger (120V modded to 220V)

In order to MOD it into 220V,

1)Replace TVR 10241 with TVR 10471
2)Replace 220V CAP with 400V 330uF

Let’s open it up

Fused is 250V rated and we don’t need to replace it

Components that we are going to use

After the replacement, the replaced parts is shown in the bottom

We just opened up the black cover and it’s a TVR 10241

Be sure that the solder solder joint is in perfect condition. You’ll need a solder iron station for this task.

I had tested it with a power consumption meter as well, to make sure that nothing wrong after the modification.
